Meet U.S. | American Interiors: Highlights from the History of Interior Design in America

Curious about the evolution of interior design in America?

Join us on April 3 as Alexander Poston, a Peace Corps volunteer, takes you on a journey through the history of American decorative arts. Through a chronological exploration of design trends, he will highlight iconic styles, influential designers, and the defining characteristics of each era in home design.

From colonial to modern aesthetics, this session will provide insights into how American homes have evolved over time, reflecting changes in culture, technology, and artistic expression.

Before joining Peace Corps Moldova, Alexander Poston gained extensive experience in the interior design industry in New York City. He began as the business manager for a boutique luxury antiques dealer in Lower Manhattan, specializing in custom Mongolian cashmere. Later, he managed a high-end home design studio on the Upper East Side, where he oversaw luxury home and apartment interiors while also providing curatorial services for major private art collectors.
